C64 RESULTS FROM ASSEMBLY '95 ----------------------------- I'm extremely proud to present you with all the C64 contributions released at the greatest party in the world so far - Assembly '95, that is - which was held in Helsinki, Finland from 10th to 13th of August 1995. Many quality demos got released this year, proving that C64 scene isn't even close to dying yet. The effects seen in today's C64 demos even beat some of those seen on Amiga or PC! OK, maybe the demos aren't audiovisually as impressive, but do remember to compare the CPU clock frequency, the price and age of the equipment and the effects achieved! Just watch C64 democoders always pushing back the limits on their 6510 CPU (From year 1975) running at less than one full MHz (980 KHz)! This is the _REAL_ spirit! Here are the results of the C64 competitions held at Assembly '95: C64 DEMO COMPETITION: --------------------- 1. "Extremes" from Byterapers Inc. (3874 points) 2. "Break Through 2" from Panic (2227 points) 3. "7 Years" from Beyond Force (2212 points) 4. "It's Coming" from Crest (1132 points) 5. "Bizarre" from Symptom C64 section (1012 points) 6. It depends. If you're an Amiga owner, the archive PDATA352.LHA - or better say it's contents - in this very directory will be extremely useful to you. On the other hand, if you're a PC user, you'll most likely need a RS-232 adapter for your C64. After that, it's just the matter of using a combination of two terminal programs and a null modem cable. In both cases, I suggest you to take a look at the PData archive... Thanks for your attention.
